Christmas Gifts 101
I've been reading Joanna Goddard's honest, funny, quirky and helpful blog for almost 10 years (take my word for it and tab it in your bookmarks now). And while all year 'round the blog effortlessly covers a range of important topics; each Christmas is when I get most excited to read it, when Jo reveals her carefully curated and unique gift guides to suit basically anyone you may potentially have in your life around the holidays.
So far this year she's released:
- #1 "Your Nutty Little Kids Who Are Masters at Negotiating Bedtime and Never Met a Dinosaur They Didn't Love"
- #2 "Your Best Friend Who Always Makes You Laugh and Will Meet You at Sephora Literally Anytime"
- #3 "Your Little Brother Who Throws Your Kids (Way Up) in the Air and Makes a Mean Grilled Cheese"
Would love to prank my brother with the "candle" she lists. And am secretly hoping this one item will appear on the list for, "Your Mum, Sister, Best Friend, Girlfriend Who Loves or Hates to Cook and Needs a Reliable Source of Foolproof Recipes and Cooking Tips".
But I'd love to hear how gift giving happens in your family this time of year? In mine, now we're all 'grown up', we do Secret Santa: names are drawn from a hat and it's a surprise until 25 December who we've each bought for. It means there's a lot more thought and a lot less waste (ie. shitty presents).
