Digital Holiday Underway
I've taken inspiration from Cherry Bombe Magazine co-founder Kerry Diamond and am posting to let you know I'm taking a brief (okay, three week-long) blog detox. It's actually for good reason, I'm heading to the UK to pack up my Granny for her move to Australia!
She's 95, mentally sharp, physically fit, she is a trove of amazing stories (seriously) and is a general joy to be around so I'm so excited to have her closer to home. This will also be a huge element of the cookbook I'm writing about my three grandmas, so I'm going to be immersed in helping her and trying to document the experience she's going through.
I hope you've been enjoying the Nana Tips and posts. Let me know what you'd like to see more or less of. I'm looking forward to jumping back in and talking all things food again with you next month.
See you soon!
PS - Can't help myself... A solid Nana tip for the crunchiest damn potatoes: par-boil them first (so they're soft when you poke with a fork), turn your oven to its highest heat, lightly coat potatoes with olive oil, bake for 20 mins, turn and bake until golden.
