This is a dinner party - or "entertaining" tip.

I have only just started implementing this myself, it's one that I picked up from my Granny in the UK ... but I also noticed a friend here (a wonderful dinner party host) does it. It's so thoughtful and a nice touch if you're a guest and have brought a nice bottle of wine to someone's house but they had their own wines planned out and you didn't get a chance to try your bottle.
