The Perfect Pie
Every year about a week before the fourth Thursday of November I'm filled with regret. Regret I have let another year pass without making grand Thanksgiving dinner plans at my humble little home here in Aus.
I have no family or blood ties to America but just really love the idea of the holiday in the sense of it being, "A day of giving thanks for the blessing of the harvest and of the preceding year". It obviously has more serious roots as a day of remembrance for Native Americans, too.
But in the spirit of being grateful, thankful for everything that has happened in the past few days, weeks and months, this weekend I'm making this brilliant Pumpkin Pie recipe and watching Gilmore Girls!
